WSROC is evolving, and I am optimistic about what this next chapter means for our organisation, our member councils and the communities we serve.
Over recent months, we have continued to strengthen our advocacy, build new partnerships and deliver practical programs that support councils across Western Sydney. As we look to the future, we are also considering how WSROC can continue to evolve to meet changing regional challenges and provide even greater value to our members.
Building on our long-standing commitment to member councils, our focus remains firmly on helping councils turn regional priorities into practical outcomes for their communities. WSROC plays an important role as a bridge between strategy and delivery, working with councils to identify emerging issues, build capability, secure investment, influence policy and deliver collaborative initiatives that achieve tangible outcomes across Western Sydney.
This edition highlights some of that work in action, from heat resilience and disaster preparedness to waste, energy, transport and infrastructure. While the issues are diverse, they all reflect a common focus: supporting councils to navigate complex challenges and deliver for their communities.
I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the WSROC team, Board Directors and our member councils, whose collaboration and commitment continue to drive the organisation forward. Western Sydney's opportunities and challenges increasingly cross council boundaries, and our collective voice remains one of our greatest strengths.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. I look forward to continuing our work together in the months ahead.
