Know the rules for managing native vegetation

Micromyrtus minutiflora Micromyrtus minutiflora Robert Kery
Native flora is important for the biodiversity of ecological communities, providing food and shelter, critical to the survival of some of our unique Australian Species.

The Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan (CPCP) helps to protect our native vegetation in Western Sydney. The plan outlines any development restrictions and additional biodiversity protection requirements that may be relevant for your property.

Before you start any development or remove vegetation on your site:
✅ Review the NSW Government information for landholders in the Cumberland Plain
✅ Check with your local council what permissions are needed
✅ Work with qualified contractors

If you suspect or know that illegal clearing of native vegetation has taken place, report it to your local council.

The Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) CPCP Compliance Support Team, along with participating councils, is here to help. Learn more about the team ➡️ https://bit.ly/CPCP_ComplianceSupportTeam
