General
Landfill sites are contaminated sites and when monitoring is required,
the safety of staff is of paramount importance. In order to monitor
the quality of the landfill site both the specific contaminant concentration
(SCC) and the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP)
are determined. The results from this testing are then assessed
against the NSW EPA’s Environmental Guidelines: Assessment,
classification and Management of Liquid and Non-Liquid Wastes.
